AccessibleEU Cyprus - Accessible & Inclusive Products and Services: Policy, Experiences & Practical Implications (25-WS-CY-01)

This AccessibleEU workshop aims to provide an overview of the European Accessibility Act and its impact on national policies, with specific reference to the recent legislation in Cyprus on the Accessibility of Products and Services Law of 2024. 

More specifically, this workshop aims to:

  • Inform participants on the main pillars of the EAA and how these have been transposed to the Cyprus National Legislation.
  • Inform participants about the links of the EAA and accessibility standards
  • Educate participants on the views and experiences of persons’ (end users’) accessibility requirements.
  • Equip participants with some practical strategies on accessibility in specific products and services, starting from the health sector services.

This event is organised in collaboration with the European University Cyprus, under The Center of Excellence in Research & Innovation in Social Sciences, the Arts and the Humanities (SocieAtH) - the Assistive Technology, Disability and Inclusive Education Multidisciplinary Research Unit.
