AccessibleEU Germany - Accessibility of office documents (WS & MLE-DE-01)

AccessibleEU together with the Stuttgart Media University organise these four webinars on how to make Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents accessible and conformant to the legally binding standard EN 301 549.

Accessible documents benefit all audiences by making information clear, direct, easy to understand, and most importantly, usable by a wide audience, including people with disabilities and those who use a variety of devices, software, and hardware. Providing accessible documents is important to ensure that all people have equal access to your information. Accessibility of office documents is essential part of European accessibility legislation. In these webinars we intend to teach participants about:

  • Accessible Word: Extended checklist according to EN 301 549 — Digital Accessibility Competence Center (hdm-stuttgart.de)
  • Accessible PowerPoint: Extended checklist according to EN 301 549 — Digital Accessibility Competence Center (hdm-stuttgart.de)
  • Accessible Excel: Extended checklist according to EN 301 549 — Digital Accessibility Competence Center (hdm-stuttgart.de)

These checklists are important for public bodies, but also for businesses if they fall under the BFSG and want to offer documents for download on the web.
