AccessibleEU Ireland - The European Accessibility Act: What is it all about? (AW-IE-01)

The National Disability Authority and the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design are working with AccessibleEU to deliver this webinar on 29th November looking at the European Accessibility Act.

The European Accessibility Act will come into force in June 2025. It aims to create a harmonised market which will increase the availability of more accessible products and services. This will benefit persons with disabilities, as well as designers, developers and retailers. It will also have a significant impact on anyone engaged in procurement activities across the public sector.

During the workshop, we will hear from public sector organisations, persons working in the development of standards, persons with disabilities, and organisations from the private sector who are already designing products and services to be accessible and inclusive.

  • Target audience: Attendance at this workshop is open to all. It is recommended in particular for Disabled Persons Organisations (DPOs), disabled people and representative organisations, government officials and professionals, private sector organisations engaged in the design, development, or sale of products and services.
