It seeks to familiarise participants with the AccessibleEU project, to show them the importance of accessibility of the environment and public services, and to spread the idea that people with disabilities can feel independent only by living in an accessible environment and receiving the necessary services.
The representative of the Ministry of Social Security and Labor will present how to apply the Accessibility Directive and how to prepare easy-to-read information.
Another presentation will be dedicated to sharing the study commissioned by the Ministry of Social Security and Labour and conducted by the Association of People with Disabilities in Lithuania, which shows the adaptation of the environment, the availability of social and health services.
The universal design strategy of the city of Vilnius, the only Lithuanian city with such a strategy, will also be presented, in order to encourage other cities to follow the example.
