Physical freedom is something so natural that you can only realize its value when you lose it. There are 16,000 blind citizens in Bulgaria, and over 200,000 in the Balkans - people who can have the freedom of movement and an active life with the help of a guide dog.

The mission of the Eyes on Four Paws Foundation is to build and develop a Balkan centre for training guide dogs - assistants to people with disabilities. The centre’s work includes finding and supporting foster families for the small dogs, training the dogs and directing them to people in need.

To date, there are more than 100 guide dogs and assistants of the Golden Retriever, Labrador and German Shepherd breeds. With their special skills and boundless love, guide dogs are available 24 hours a day to people in need.

The Eyes on Four Paws Foundation is a full member of the European Guide Dog Federation of Schools for the Blind /EGDF/, as well as the International Guide Dog Federation of Schools for the Blind /IGDF/.
