The project Higher education curriculum and transition programme Empowering students with different abilities (DIFFABILITY), in which the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana was a partner, aimed to create an overview of the best existing practices and present innovative solutions for the development of learning content for teaching and distance learning in higher education in the field of entrepreneurship, made accessible to students with different abilities, particularly those who are blind, partially sighted, deaf, or hard of hearing.
The project's main objective was to develop and present innovative approaches to creating educational content for higher education, ensuring it is accessible to students with diverse abilities, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity for those with visual and hearing impairments. The key themes of the project included the development of inclusive higher education systems, the design of digital education systems tailored to differently-abled students, and the promotion of innovative digital teaching practices.
This ground-breaking project, led by a consortium of seven prominent European organisations, aims to revolutionise the educational environment for students with disabilities and focuses on promoting entrepreneurial skills through distance learning curricula tailored to the needs of these individuals.
All project results also have a video presentation of the content, which is adapted to correspond to the needs of the DIFFABILITY project target group - people with visual and hearing impairments, therefore it includes the text transcription and the text interpretation into the sign language.
