Type of organisation
  • Public administration
Organisation responsible

The pedestrian accessibility masterplan for Lisbon understands accessibility as a broader matter by reevaluating the public space, shifting from the car centric approach to a human scale approach. The actions on this plan were defined based on public consultation processes.

Bases on these processes, key areas and principles were defined and from there research was conducted to identify best practices and approaches to urban design and accessibility. The plan aims to change accessibility within the municipality from a structural point of view instead of assigning accessibility to one specific team of experts.
