The Slovak Museum of Nature Protection and Speleology in Liptovsky Mikulas has provided barrier-free access for people with disabilities. The reconstruction of the historical and monument building of the museum allows wheelchair access to all parts of the museum exhibitions and the library, as well as barrier-free access to outdoor areas (nature trails).
The accessible adaptations of the building consists of tactile, sound and visual elements in exhibitions; virtual guides; and educational programs for visitors with disabilities.
