The project “Lake Borders / Nature Without Barriers: Ensuring Access to Environmental Education and Nature Experiences for People with Disabilities” aims to make nature a real experience for everyone.

Nearly 80 million people in Europe live in a situation where getting to know natural values is an obstacle for them. People with disabilities often have difficulty getting to know nature. Building ramps instead of stairs is not enough to make an area accessible.

Accessibility means that services are accessible to everyone without external assistance. Ramps, information materials written in simple language, sign language videos or information boards in Braille can help with this.
