A smart parking app including information about available parking places in the city of Paphos.
The practice was chosen as an example of an effort to inform persons with disabilities about accessible parking.
The system is composed by hardware and software solutions capable of detecting the availability of specific parking areas through underground sensors. This allows segmenting the parking areas according to social and municipality needs. By adapting this approach, the developers segmented all the parking areas dedicated to persons with disabilities, by creating a specific, so users can easily detect on the map where those places are, tap on available ones and reach it easily.
