The PTS Innovation Competition is a contest about innovative ideas for more accessible communication.

Winners get a substantial amount of money meant to enable them to realize their ideas.

The competition has been recurring since 2010 and over the years the Swedish government has spent approximately 30 million Euros on it.

The effects of the competition were recently evaluated by a third party and the analysis concluded that about 10% of the population, potentially, have benefited from the increased accessibility resulting from the competition winner projects. Furthermore, economically, the competition has created value clearly surpassing the total cost of the competition.
