Accessible EU Finland - Inclusive transport for all (NW-FI-01)

The event will focus on the topic of inclusive transportation and its developments in Finland. It will bring together everyone working on implementing accessibility requirements in the transport sector, to create networks and share best practices and lessons learnt so far.

More specifically, the event will seek:

• To make AccesibleEU known in the field of transportation.

• To release the Accessibility Vision paper by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, which summarises the next steps in accessibility transportation in Finland.

• To observe what are the key success factors in the accessibility travel chain.

• To summarise the current picture in transportation accessibility in the UK and Sweden.

• To update accessibility benefits in smart railway context and in bus traffic procurement.

• To give the opportunity to participants to gain practical user-experience with Avaava’s AgeMan suit, wheelchairs, white cane and simulation glasses.
