AccessibleEU Slovenia - Best practices for accessibility of websites, applications and services: How to plan, design, code and prepare accessible content (24-WS-SI-01)

This workshop co-organised by AccessibleEU and the Institute A11Y.SI aims to promote digital accessibility in the development of websites, mobile applications, products and services.

The training will introduce the knowledge and tools necessary to meet the requirements of digital accessibility, thereby improving the accessibility of digital products for all users. Regardless of whether we develop digital products for our own needs or for external clients.

The event will explain the different types of disabilities and the barriers in the digital world. It will cover the basics of digital accessibility, as well as the standards that help overcome the barriers, with practical examples. Local and European legislation covering digital accessibility will be presented together with the link to the accessibility standards EN 301 549 and WCAG. Authority experiences with monitoring public sector websites and mobile applications will also be shared and discussed.
