AccessibleEU is one of the flagship initiatives proposed by the European Commission Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. It is a resource Centre on accessibility working on areas such as built environment, transport, information and communication technologies to ensure the participation of persons with disabilities in all areas of life on equal basis with others.

The ECB’s digital euro app is being designed to exceed European accessibility requirements, with features supporting diverse user needs. Accessibility and usability testing will be carried out during the digital euro pilot programme in 2027.

The online course Accessible Technology Design - Advanced is aimed at professionals who want to deepen their expertise in digital accessibility and accessible ICT design. It opens on 14 September and closes on 10 December 2026.

The workshop will promote dialogue and collaboration to advance accessibility in Europe. Discussions will focus on the practical implications of the EAA and the role publishers play in creating inclusive digital experiences.
