AccessibleEU is one of the flagship initiatives proposed by the European Commission Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. It is a resource Centre on accessibility working on areas such as built environment, transport, information and communication technologies to ensure the participation of persons with disabilities in all areas of life on equal basis with others.

The course An introduction to accessible public transport – rules and rights – in Europe covers topics such as why mobility matters, good practices in accessibility in transport, inclusive design, and others. It is open from 16 March to 31 October.

The protocol aims to ensure a harmonised response across the country, guaranteeing that every stage of emergency management—from communication to direct interaction—takes into account the needs of persons with disabilities.

EASPD has published a briefing summarising the European Commission’s evaluation of the EU Public Procurement Directives, highlighting the findings most relevant to disability services.
